The Blinkers On thoroughbred horse racing partnerships team has traveled to Maryland, Ocala, Florida twice, and Pomona, CA to seek out the best 2 year olds in training. Blinkers On Racing Stable is excited to announce the newest members of our 2013 stable, 2 beautiful fillies and 4 strapping colts.

Our first sale of the year brought us to Pomona, CA for one of the traditionally smaller 2 year old in training sales, as far as number of horses.  With only about 150 horses catalogued we were surprised to mark down so many good looking breeze videos, and equally good looking individuals on the ground. After all the boxes were checked, one colt stood out among the rest. Now, named Bullwhip, this handsome son of Benny the Bull stopped the clock in 10 flat, the co-fastest time at the sale. He also looked the part, extremely athletic and very well balanced. We were very excited to purchase Bullwhip, and our horse racing partnership investors have also been very keen on him. He should be ready to go at Del Mar!

Maryland, was the next stop for Blinkers On Racing Stable. This sale catalogued about 430 horses, and also had a good number of horses that stood out. After countless hours of watching video and looking at horses there were two that were the ones. The first is a colt by Visionaire, True Visionary. He is a striking grey colt, and was one of the best looking horses at the sale, a big bodied colt, with a good amount of leg, and still very athletic. His stride is massive, making him a perfect combination of looks and ability. He is a late May foal, and will most likely want to run two turns, so his best days will come later in the year. Our second purchase for the thoroughbred horse racing partnership was a filly by Run Away and Hide, Nothing to Hide. She stopped the clock a tick off the fastest time at the sale, doing it the right way. She is extremely quick, and looks to be quite precocious for a May foal. We are excited to get her into training in about a month because her debut could be one to remember with that speed!

Our final stop was to Ocala, Florida, and our patience paid off because we left the sale with three very nice horses. The first is a colt by City Zip, Mass Transit, who also happens to be a Cal Bred, which is a great thing to have with all the incentives in California racing. Not only is he a Cal Bred, but he had one of the best breezes at the sale. He breezed 10 flat, with a huge stride, all within himself. We expect big things from our City Zip Cal Bred. The next is a filly by first crop sire, Colonel John. Her name is Salute to Summer, she is a stout filly with plenty of leg and a stride and pedigree that says she can run all day. She is maturing at the farm, and we expect big things at the end of the year! Finally, our last purchase of the year was a striking chestnut colt, by Northern Afleet, Top of the World. Top of the World is a very strong athletic looking colt that breezed just like his looks. It was fast and powerful, nothing to dislike in that video. His speed and precocity will serve him well as a two year old, not to mention he has a great disposition on the track.

We feel that we have added a very strong group of two year olds to our thoroughbred horse racing partnerships. This 2013 crop of two year olds is on their way to a bright future in Southern California, will you be a part of it? Horse Racing Partnerships forming now! www.Blinkerson.com
